I have a copy of an old Italian passport, and I'm struggling to read it. Not necessarily because I don't speak Italian (I don't) but mostly because the words are handwritten, and can't be clearly made out. I had someone who speaks decent Italian look at it, and he gave me a good idea, but I think the details would be super helpful. Can any of you helpful folks aid me in deciphering this? I'll post a link to a scan of the document, and then put my guesses for what it says below. Thanks! The document: http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/1614/passoporto2.jpg In Italian (please correct my errors, if you can): Yoris Rocco, figlio naturale di Carlo, che fi reca a Washington chiamenta da ____ padre, __ in compagnie d'il sorelle Elizabetta, d'anni 13, Luigia d'anni 6, Margherita, d'anni 4, affidati ___ a destinazione. Zerega Caterina gia _____ di regalare _________. Yoris Rocco, natural son of Carlo, (to go to?) Washington to his father, in the company of his sister Elizabetta, aged 13, Luigia, age 6, and Margherita, age 4, (all the way to?) the destination. Zerega Caterina ....??? Zerega Caterina (actually Caterina Zerega, for some reason the first and last names are reversed) is one of the key people for me. Margherita is my great grandmother, and I'm trying to figure out who Caterina is. We think Margherita's mother's maiden name was Zerega, so could this person be her mother? or an aunt? Any help would be most appreciated. Notify Administrator about this message?
