Hello Rosa;All of you are right about the surname;
1st in America (Acadie-Acadia,now New Brunswick,Ca)was 3g.Michel Vianot b.c. 1705 +,mar.Thérèse Baude- son of 2g.Antoine Vianot b.1682,mar 15-07-1705 & Andreuse Lunelle_son of 1g.Andéol Vianot b.c,1644-57,mar 1669-1680 & Suzanne Dionne. All spellings are of same origine(myself-Vienneau-Vianot),Veno(for eng.version in Canadian census) ect .VIANO
I now know that they are quite probably from the region of San Sebastiono da Pô,prov. of Torino, Italy
Thru Genéanet(french Web Site) I am in contact with a M. Michel Viano(hic*) from San Sebastino da Pô,Torino prov.,Italy. His gr.father was son to Thomas Viano & Thèrèse Viennot mar. 19-02-1859..
He could not get back any farther... I wish I could get someone who goes back much farther then 1644 and maybe link my ancestors.I suppose if I paid a fee in Généanet I might get more info, but..
I've had quite a few replies sending me to the Piedmont-San Sebastino region...
Who knows maybe these Italian are of french origine; they are quite a few in the St. Martin de Bollène ,Vaucluse,in Ardêche & Isère(Alps region as well...
Thanks for your reply
Isabelle
