Civil records for Caposele go from 1866 to 1910.Records are not avilable for any prior years. Losses occur in some villages and town; the result of fire,war, decay etc. Go to www.familysearch.org and seek out the family history library (under ancestor search) nearest your home and the rental is about $5.00 and they supply the viewing equipment, Bring along with you a book which you canborrow or purchase Discovering Your Italian Ancestors by Lynn Nelson which is a companion book for the microfilm. Alsobring along a magnifying glass for deciphering the beautiful but difficult to read handwriting.
If you wish to go earlier than 1866 then you would have to inquire in the Family History Library if they have the micorfilm for the church or churches(www.parrocchie.it) in Caposele and put Caposele int he right side. Petertimber
