Go to the Ellisisland.org site and place the name in the search engine. Ask for the variaions of the name.

Here are some I found and locations in Italy they came from:At Ellis Island
Sanzane--Termini, Carleone, Vittoria
Sansane--Termini, Palermo, Cernuni
Sanzano--Afragola, Portino, Pietraluna
Sansano--Cosenza, Accadia, Andia

There are many more variations and places.

Best to track back you ancestor and find either her birth record, immigration record if not born in Chile, or her death record that might give you more clues.

All records in Italy are specific to town the event took place so to find out where she came from or where her parents came from, you must know where she or they were born very specifically. Perhaps arrival records into Chile would help.

Good luck.
