Is the surname Sanzana or Sansana from Italy?

I'm wondering if the surname Sanzana comes from Italy...There are quite a few people with this surname in Chile...I know that this name does not really exist in Spain or Portugal...In some page on the Internet it said that this names comes from Syracusa, Sicily..In the same page it says that the surname might of been Sanzanelly and it was changed to Sanzana in Spain...A lot of people from Chile are always posting on Ancestry boards to try to find out where this name is originally from...My great-great grandmother had the surname Sanzana...I really hope this name is Italian because I really like the Italian culture....
