If you live in SLC, you have access to all the records from Ripabottoni on microfilm at the Family History Library. They are in Italian, but can be read with a translation dictionary and a lot of hard work. The handwriting is horrid at best.
I have a lot of these records on loan at my branch of the FHL. But if I lived in Salt Lake and wanted to do genealogy, I would be living in that building! There are a lot of people there, no doubt, that can help you get through the Italian records. I will go to my branch this week and get you started...but one day you might want to see the "real" records, so consider this a great option!
Will be back mid week...our branch here is open for only limited times, not every day.
Have a great evening!
