Father Paul St. Charles is my husband's great-uncle! He is so wonderful!!!! How do you know him? Did you attend his church? I am so glad that you didn't think I'm crazy for asking you for the pronounciation of the name! It's just that my husband's great-grandmother (Father Paul's mother!) passed in 1995 at the age of 98, and she never knew how her husband's family spelled the name before it was changed, but that it was pronounced San-chi-ola or something like that. I studied Latin and the Romance languages for five years, and when I saw the Cianciolo, I was incredibly curious. My husband's great-grandfather was Paul Francis St. Charles (1891-1964). His family lived and worked as produce merchants in the Chicago area, then settled in Nashville. His father was James Jerome St. Charles (1848-1924?). He was born in Termini Imerese, as was his wife, Catherine Sansone St. Charles. I have found some documentation that James was also referred to as Girolamo. If you connect with this family, or know anything about them, please contact me!!! It just thrills me to know that you know Father Paul!! He is a "wonderful human," a true reflection of how great his mother was. Please contact me if our lines connect or intersect! Lori Bynum
