My name is Arthur Isted. My grandfather, John Isted, was born in Burwash, Sussex on September 25,1880.
He had one brother who was lost at sea. I do not know if there were others in his family.
John married in England and had at least one daughter -Edith. I believe grandpa's wife died in England. John came to Canada in 1906 and re-married -Phyllis Emma Alice Upcott in 1907.
I could go on telling you all about Granpa's children with Phyllis, their grand children, of which I am one, and their great grand children, and their great great grand children. But I won't bore you with that until I find out if we are related! I am very interested in my ancestry but I have not traced anyone back past my grandfather.
