Gilbert's mother could be Barbara or Sarah. Barbara was John's second wife, Sarah was the last as she named in will.
I've a will for a Gilbert Talbot which some have wondered is a son of Gilbert of John ..

So the above is what I believe is correct. Some notes that are handy:
It is possible that the will we have belongs to a grandson of John Israel rather than his son Gilbert Talbot Israel. Therefore more study should be done to prove this one way or another.
1723: Baltimore Co. MD -- Gilbert is named in his father's will.
1737: Baltimore Co., MD Tax List -- Gilbert Isieril (sic), Soldiers Delight, 1 taxable. (ref: Wilkins index page 37. source: Archives of Baltimore City, MD.
1746: 3 May -- Ann Arundel Com MD deeds R.B. #2 p.20 -- Gilbert Israel & Luke Davis from William Davis Sr. of A.A. Co. William Davis Sr. of A.A. Co. for 3138 pounds tobacco make over to Gilbert ISRAEL and Luke DAVIS of same county, planters, 2 feather beds and furniture, cattle, horses, dishes and other household furniture.
1785: 5 May -- Baltimore Co., MD. ref: Maryland Marriages 1777-1804, MD. His. Soc. p.168. -- ELI ISRAEL and Ann Goslin by Rev. West, St. Paul's Parish, Baltimore Co. MD. Also ref: Marriages 1778-1800 MD. by Barnes p.11BA8 adds: at First Meth. Episcopal Church.
If his father born ca 1710 this does not appear to fit well at all. !!!
1788: 29 Feb Gilbert's will is written & proved 12 April 1788 in Liber 4, p.299-300, Baltimore Co. MD. He names son Robert, son Ely, son John, son Gilbert, wife Prudence, & all my children. In his accournts we find that the girls were Mrs. Edward Parish, Mrs. John Clark, Mr. Richard Parish & Jemima Israel. & this account dated Dec 1720. Ely was referred to as the youngest son. None were referred to as children or minors.
- and I've wondered if she wasn't a Talbot? Many in the area.Think I've some notes on the Parish families .. you didn't say who Sarah married ..
