Hi Tammi, I am sorry I don't know that much about the Ison family other then my own line.My gr.gr.grandfather Isaac Ison born abt 1809 (of Morgan County, Kentucky) and his wife Anna Hamilton had a daughter named Mary (married Francis Brown) and son named Archibald Ison who went out west. Many of their descendants are out there now. Some of them were Mormons. It's only the Kentucky descendants that I know a little about. Isaac's father was Archibald Ison and mother Mary Gilliam, his father was Charles Ison and mother's name was Elizabeth. Charles died in Scott County, Va.Charles is supposed to be the son of John Ison and Rebecca Jones and his father John Ison Sr. and Martha Huff according to what's online.John Ison Sr. was supposed to be the start of the Ison clan in America from which many of the Ison family of early America descend.John Jr. was supposed to be the son of Gideon Ison.Beyond Charles Ison, I am in the dark and depending on the claims of others.I can't find any proof for my line beyond Charles Ison and his wife Elizabeth. My line of Isons started in Virginia and spread out from there.I figure you are part of the same group of Isons, but how, I can't tell you.Sorry!
