Phillip Isner- born: August 1834 in Randolph County, a son of William and Edna Marstiller Isner, married November 2, 1859 to Jane Isner. Phillip was among a group of Randolph County citizens taken hostage by Federal soldiers in the summer of 1863 and sent to Fort Deleware. He died shortly after his release and return to Randolph County in 1863. Phillip was buried in the Arnold Hill Cemetery.

Jane Isner- born: February 9, 1833 in Randolph County, a daughter of Henry and Sarah Helmick Isner. Jane married second to James M. Raines on September 28, 1865.
Jane died July 25, 1893 and was buried in the Kelley Mountain Cemetery.

Phillip and Jane Isner had two children:

Edna Isner- born: August 5, 1860; married: William O. Triplett, December 25, 1881.
Edna died February 1, 1945.

Luther Phillip Isner- born: December 31, 1861; married first to Jemima Columbia Kelly on April 16, 1887; married second to Isa Pearl Poe on November 7, 1899.
Luther died November 14, 1933.
