I have check our indexes of the civil registration for Ireland and the only possible connection I see is for the 2 Q 1898
John Ismay was married in Belfast Ref 1 395. Does this make sense to you? If you want to browse some more the Ismay One Name Study as a wealth of data on Ismay and is worth a look
