Lewis Isley who married Elizabeth Waggener appears to be the son of John Isley and Mary "Polly" Brinkley (m.1805 Orange Co. per NC Marriage Bonds). Mary was daughter of Peter and Martha Brinkley. Supported by depositions in legal proceedings, marriage bonds, and 1850 Census.
Peter Brinkley was known as Peter Jr. and was the son of Peter Brinkley who died in Orange Co. in 1811; and was, in turn, son of Peter and Mary Brinkley of Perquimans Co. Lewis was alive in Alamance Co as late as 1900.
