Perhaps you can shed some light on this Isley family listed in the 1850 Russell Co., VA census....

David P. Isley b. 1813 Orange Co., NC Tailor
Elizabeth Isley (nee Moore) b. 1828 Caswell Co., NC seamstress.

Children are Sarah W., Rena, Frances J. All born in Russell Co., VA before 1845.

Living with them are;

Calvin Moore b. 1834 in Washington Co., TN Tailor
Jane Moore b. Sullivan Co., TN
Sarah W. Moore b. 1805 in NC. (mother to Elizabeth Isley and I believe her husband was John Moore)

I can no longer find David after this census. Elizabeth stays in Russell CO., VA and her other children are, Thomas and Charles W. born in 1853. She remains a seamstress.....Charles is later found in Knox Co., TN.

The Moores are found living out their years in Tazewell Co., VA. I believe David Isley and his wife Elizabeth Moore met in Sullivan/Washington Co., TN region.

Do you know this David Isley..........
