I am wondering if one of the children of John and Mary was Doxey Isley who married Jacob R. Gant on March 26, 1838 in Orange (now Alamance) Co., NC. Jacob is listed with his father and brothers on the same page as John Isley (directly below the Gants)in the 1840 census of Orange Co., Northern District.

Jacob Gant and some of his brothers, along with the Rippys are found in Sumner Co., TN by 1850. Does anyone have any thoughts about this?
