Martin, Robert, Lydia Martin Deakin

Robert Martin was b. 1803 in Castletown, IOM. I think he had a sister, Lydia Martin, who married Thomas Deakin. In the 1841 Wittom cum Twambrook, Cheshire, census, Lydia and Thomas Deakin are enumerated with Emma Gardiner Martin, with Emma's daughter, Sarah Ann, and her son, David, 4 mos. Emma's husband, Robert Martin, was in Liverpool with their oldest son, Robert, and Robert's father, David Martin, b. Ireland. I believe Robert Martin and Lydia were brother and sister and that Emma Martin was visiting her sister-in-law. Emma and Robert are my great great grandparents. Lydia's will shows a birth date of 1806 and a death date of 22 Sept. 1892. Thomas's will shows a birth date of 1806 and a death date of 22 Sept. 1874. There is another family with Lydia and Thomas Deakin, from Derbyshire, not Cheshire. This Lydia was Lydia Bunting, b. 1810 and d. 1880 in Stockport. People are confusing and merging these two families on the public trees on ancestry.com and ancestry.co.uk. I would like proof that Lydia Deakin in Cheshire from 1841 to 1892 was born Lydia Martin, perhaps on the Isle of Man. Can anybody help with this? Thank you. Shirley Smith
