Hi Maura and Terry ,

Just a little more info ,

Checked the additional births that William Hartley found for you , and Willam x 2 , is a mystery . Both are shown as Thomas and Esther children . So looked at Manx Burials in Kirk Patrick and found two burials :

William , infant , 1828
William , aged 12 , 1840

Manx practise was to name newly born children after ones who had died , so most likely first one died as a baby , and second one age is wrong , should be 7. No william on 1841 census with the rest of the family .

Ellen born 1843 is not on 1851 census as a Clinton , but there is one aged 70 , therefore born 1781 , could she be Thomas born circa 1800 mother ? James appears to marry in K.P. 1861.
Cheers
David
