I have a Vere Lawrence SWALES b abt 1870 Yorkshire d 1939 Rushen Isle of Man and wife Lucy WELLS or WILLS. Lawrence V was listed as photograher and evidiently also was a preacher in the Primitive Methodist church.

Parents of Vere Lawrence were James SWALES b 1848 Wolverhampton, Staffordshire d 1935 Malew IOM and Harriet Jane TYZACK b in Sheffield, Yorkshire d 1881 Matew IOM. James and Harriet moved to Castletown in late 1870s.
I am primarily a TYZACK researcher, but I do have more to share on this SWALES family.
