Well you got very close. Henry Isham was a settler to Jamestown, and while I'm working from memory, I believe he was the second husband to Katherine Banks, one of my great grandmothers, whose first husband was Joseph Royall. Joseph Royall had come to Jamestown in 1622 on the Charitie. His daughter was Katherine Royall (mother Katherine Banks), and Katherine Royall also figures prominently in early Virginia history. Henry Isham was a sea captain (once again this off memory) who spent much of his life in Portugal and the Bermudas. He is mentioned several times in the Diaries of Samuel Pepys. One of Henry Isham and Katherine Banks daughters, Mary Isham, married a Randolph, and were founders, so to speak, of the famous Randolph line of Virginia. If interested, Katherine Banks was also a greatgrandmother to both Thomas Jefferson and his wife Martha Wayles (through the Eppes line I believe). I believe another Isham great granddaughter, Jane Randolph, married Peter Jefferson, Thomas' father. I'd have to go and look up this last information. This line of Isham-Randolphs also gets into the Virginia Lee line.
