Hi again - Your Ella Earl born July 11 1872, was the 2nd child of Robert Gilman Earl born January 22, 1850 and his wife Mary Cathryn Lewis who were both born in Albany, Oregon. This Robert was the 1st child of William Earl and his wife Louisa A. Wood.My connection is to the last child of William Earl and his wife, in that my grandfather was their last child, his name was Tolbert Carter Earl.
At this point, I think we should make sure that we are not skipping a generation in your family line. This is what I understand so far.
Ella Earl married _________ Isham (I don't have his 1st name, do you?)
Their 4th child was Jennie Isham, your gr-grandmother (I don't have her information such as her birthdate)
One of her children was ________________, your grandparent.
Your grandparents' child was ____________________, who therefore is your parent whose name is ___________________.Can you fill in the blanks for me?
I can send you the Earl family descendency back as far as their coming across the Oregon Trail in 1845 if you would like.Ella Earl's grandfather William was only 16 years old when he arrived into the Oregon Territory, soon married Louisa, the first white couple to be married in Linn County, and became qualified to receive his 640 acres as a married 'man'.William's father, Joseph, died at the start of the trip West.
Is this line correct?I'll look forward to hearing from you again.Betty
