michelle,
thanks as usual for your quick response. i found those dates for samuel and eva on the familysearch LDS web site on some igi records and they make no sense to me either. it says samuel was born 1694 and eva 1697, both in huntingdon pa.there is also a marriage igi that says they were married in 1718. i have no clue about any of this.eve and samuels son david long who was my ggggrandfather was born in 1816.we are pretty certain of this as he is listed on the 1860 census as being forty-four years old.i also have a letter lillian wrote to my father that confirms this.if you can't find those i.g.i. documents, e-mail me a fax number if you have one and i'll fax them to you. please keep in touch and let me know if you come up with anymore and i will do the same.
thanks michelle

p.s. the jacob long i wrote you about does not appear to be one of my line.he was married to a maryann zeigler first and then supposedly married to a rose isenberg second this by the way while maryann zeigler was still alive!jacob was in his sixties and rose, about twenty-one. jacob however is buried in dekalb, mo. with wife number one.let me know what you think or if you know about this long-isenberg connection.thanks b.l.
