Guardianship of Betty Isbell
County Court of Cooke Co. Texas
To the Hon J.P. Hall County Judge and now comes John D. Pickering Guardian of the persons and estates of Betty Isbell, Andrew Isbell, and Allen Isbell minors and respectfully shows to the court that said minors are the owners of an undivided interest of about 32/56 in and to the following described property viz:
70 head of stock cattle branded H and marked partly thus (brand) and partly thus (brand)and 1 steer 3 yrs old in above mark and brand. That said stock were running on the range in the Indian Territory and remained there until they were ordered removed therefrom by the authorities of the Indian Nation and that they are now off of their range in Cooke County that they cannot be kept together except by being herded and that the expense of herding the same will soon consume the value of the cattle and that it is greatly to the detriment of said minors to retain the same under the management and control of said guardian Wherefore-said guardian prays for an order to sell said property, and that the same be granted in vacation, on account of the loss and expenses of keeping and herding said stock until an order of sale can be entered at the next regular term of this court and that he be directed to sell said property on such terms as the court may see proper.
