Debra, do you have any additional information on the Henry Izard in the 1700's that you mentioned? I am looking for a John Henry Izard (d. @ 1818) m. Tobitha Livicy. They had two children that I know of, Mary and Matthew (b.1818 in MS). I had originally thought the family came from SC but have been unable to tie in there so I am now casting my net further.
