Thomas Issard/Isard of Knockin, Shropshire England 1759

My Issard family have a legend that the family originated in Val D'Isere, France and were huguenot refugees. They seem to have ended up in Shropshir and Montgomeryshire, Wales. There is a Thomas Issard at Heath Farm, Knockin, Montgomeryshire in 1759. I am trying to find out about him. The family also have a song "Les Montagnards" which is supposed to come from Val D'Isere. Does anyone else have this song in their family? Margaret
