As per Samuel ISAACS, son of Elijah, being one of Austin's 300, here's further proof that he was in Texas at that time period.He is one of the many veterans who is listed from the meeting & claims he was here in 1823 (although family stories claim Dec., 1821):

Sam Issacks, age 65; emigrated in 1823; in service in 1835 & 1836. Residence, Lynchburg, Harris Co.
