I was always told that William Isaac #2 was born about 1796 or 1797, and that his parents were John & Catherine Isaac. Their son John (#2) was born in 1796, so believed that they were either brothers (close in age) or else twins. Then I found his cemetery record which states that he died in 1874 at the age of 81, so that would have him being born about 1793, so perhaps he was an older brother to John #2. No, I haven't personally found any records in Ireland. My mom's cousin did a lot of researching many years ago, and wrote a book on the Isaacs, called Grandmother Isaac. It has a lot of info in it, all verified by Alvin Isaac, the author. If you can find a copy of it somewhere, it would be quite interesting for you to read, although it deals mainly with the descendants of William #2 & not #1, although there is some info on #1's descendants. Another researcher sent me this newspaper article that she had found: "The following statement has been sent to us by a correspondent: Two brothers of the name of Isaac, from the neighbourhood of Nixon Hall, near Enniskillen, proceeding with some webs of linen cloth to the market of Fintona on Friday last, were attacked within two miles of the town, at dawn of the day, by a party of men and women, violently beaten and their webs taken from them. On their giving alarm, a cousin of the young men, of the name of Isaac also, who lives near the place, came to their assistance, when a man of the name of Jobb, struck him a most violent blow on the head, which killed him on the spot. ----- Erne Packet. 13 September 1825" She further writes: "Andrew Job (senior) was charged with the murder of William Isaac on 3 September 1925 but the Strabane Morning News of 21 March 1826 merely reported although Job was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to imprisonment for 12 months. Job also lived in Tattymoyle." So perhaps the "two brothers" were John (#2) & William (#2). I can only speculate on that one. I also found Jane Nixon's cemetery record, which states she died in 1877 at the age of 86. I never did find the dealth records for William (#2) or Jane, just the cemetery records, which don't give much info. Let me know if you find anything else.
