The Isaacs of Honiton,Devon
Dear Isaac cousins,
I have recently discovered that my gggg grandfather, the rev.Benjamin Isaac was born in Honiton in Devon in 1784(he died in London in 1850).We had seen his baptism listed on the IGI,but had no proof that this was our benjamin until very recently, when we found his obituary which, thankfully, mentioned his place of birth.
I am hoping to make contact with other descendants of this Isaac family,as I've noted that there have been several people on this message board who have mentioned Devon and the exeter area.We are going to Exeter next week to do some research in the archives there, but was hoping to discover what any other Isaac descendants may have found.
As I've already mentioned,Benjamin was baptised in Honiton on the 7th of may 1784,the son of Thomas Isaac and Catherine(Clash?)who seemed to have had about 5 other children, but there are many other Isaacs listed on the IGI in Honiton at that time. We'd really love to hear from any other descendants.
Alistair & Molly.
