I was sent this information on my great-grf. Thomas Jefferson Irwin: Anderson Daily Bulletin (Anderson, Indiana) > 1956 > March > 6 Summitville - Thomas J. Irwin, 78, died Monday evening at St. John's Hospital of burns received 2 weeks ago when his clothing caught fire while burning trash at home. He was a native of Grant County and came to this community 8 years ago from Kokomo. He was the son of Joel and Emily Irwin, and was a member of the Rock Prairie Church, near Windfall. In 1901 he married Ida May Wolf, who survives. Interment will be in Vinson Memorial Cemetery. Survivors include the widow; 2 daughters, Mrs. Lois Golladay, Tipton; Mrs. Mildred Hendricks, Indianapolis;5 sons, Mr. Joel W., Anderson; Paul, Kokomo; Clarence, Malcolm, Iowa;Ernest, Summitville; and Ralph, Middletown;and a sister, Mrs. Olive Ritchie (Rilchie?), Hemlock.
