The Urwins seem to have been pitmen in Durham area.

William born Gilesgate Durham c1785.
Son Thomas born c1815.
His son George born 1847.

William & Thomas worked as coal miners when killed in the Washington F Pit disaster of 1851.

George went on to serve 70 years down the pit !

My DNA shows Bonshaw clan origins.

Anyone any links?
