The first update on this study is now posted at www.clanirwin.org > DNA Study.
The study now has over 50 participants, including a senior descendant of the Bonshaw/Borders line, whose participation has enabled most of the participants with 37 marker results to demonstrate something their conventional genealogy has failed to do - that they are indeed very probably descended from this branch. However a small minority of results don't indicate this ancestry.
Details of obtaining a yDNA test at Group discount rates are included on the webpage.
