Perry Irving and Mary Osborn
Posted by: Brian Schoenthaler (ID *****9851) Date: May 30, 2005 at 15:37:49

Does anyone have any information on my gr. gr. gr. grandfather, Perry Irving and my gr. gr. gr. grandmother, Mary (Osborn) Irving (or Irvin)? They had 6 or 7 children and are buried in Montgomery County, Illinois.

Perry's d.o.d. is listed as 1845.

Mary Osborn was born in or after 1811, and died while or after giving birth to their last child ("baby") in 1844. Mary was born in Kentucky. Her parents were Elijah and Mary "Polly" (Warren) Osborn. Elijah and Mary Polly (Warren) Osborn had ten children, Elizabeth, James, Levi, John, Mary (my relation), Bailey, Caswell, Warren, Gilbert and Riley.

Perry and Mary Irving's children's names were John, (another son?), Malinda Adeline, Mary, Agnes (my gr.gr.grandmother, d.o.b 1839 or 1840; d.o.d. 30Jun1931, in Howell County, Missouri), Elizabeth, and "baby".

Records indicate that the Irving children were raised by Warren and Martha (Grantham) Osborn after Perry and Mary's deaths. Warren Osborn was a younger brother of Mary (Osborn) Irving. Warren and Martha had no children of their own that we know of. Warren and Martha were married in Montgomery County, Illinois on 17Jan1839.

Thank you for any information.

Brian
