My great-grandfather was William Irvine, b 1857 to Alexander Irvine and Martha Mann, a year before they were married, in Restigouche.
Does anyone have any information about Alexander and Martha and their family ? I believe that my great-grandfather may have been sent to live with relatives to conceal the inconvenient timing of his birth. Alexnder and Martha married in 1858 and he was baptised the following month.I would be glad to share the information I have.
