my great grandfather was also John B Irvin m. Sarah Jane Boone. John Bs father, Benjamin was born in Millersport, Ohio Fairfield County in 1806.Married Hannah Malone on 4-22-44 in Millersport and died 7-3-44 in Millersport.Hannah b. 8-11-06 , d.6-11-87 and is buried in Prairie Church Cemetary near Revere, Mo. A Philip Wiseman was appointed guardian of the children John Benjamin and Margaret Elisabeth. Ben owned a farm in Fairfield countythat was sold in 1849.I have a fairly complete geneology of the family from there on. Edna Mae Irvin was my grandmother, daughter of John B. There were about 13 children in that family as I understand. My Aunt Gwen did a lot of the research into the family and has a lot of anecdotal information in addition to birth and death dates, etc.For instance she wrote "John Benjamin Irvin, my grandfather , died at our house here in Cedar Rapids (IOWA) on 5th street SE.He had been staying with us for some time, I remember. My brother, (Who is MY father,Irvin Rowden) sister, and I were always afraid of him because he was so cross if we went near him.I suppose he was cross because he didnt feel well. Were told not to go near his room, he stayed in there most of the time, just coming out for meals.Grandpa Irvin died Jan. 17, 1925 and was taken back to Kahoka, Mo for burial in Waterloo Cemetery."It all is quite fascinating.Let me know if you would like more information.I have quite a bit.
