If Ike was born Isaac, we just might have a connection.My ggg Grandfather was William Irvin, born 1834 in TN (I think Gibson Co .. still trying to confirm).He and his wife Sarah M. (Unknown) moved to Monroe Co., KY sometime prior to 1863 and had my gg Grandfather, James T. Irvin.Later siblings were Thomas H. (possibly James' twin) and Isaac, born in 1868.
If you think this could be your Ike, let me know and I'd be happy to share what I have.My Grandfather Audie did remark that he had German ancestry.But with all the connections of Irvin(e) to Scots-Irish ancestry, I had begun to doubt that.But maybe he was right.
