Inquiring about a Lucinda Irvin of Saline County Illinois, believed to have married a John Cape, son of Hiram Cape of Hamilton County Illinois.
I have census records for Lucinda and the Cape members. Does the name Lucinda Cape jump out in anyone's research on Irvin of Gallatin, Saline, Hamilton counties in Illinois of the 1880s 1890s. Lucinda Cape died around 1893 and four of her children were placed out, sarah, richard, prudy, and may. The older children Hiram , Thomas, and Maggie were not placed out but on their own at the time the mother was ill.
