You are so right regards to the names. After a child left the house, they would use the name again. After a child died, again the name was used. Thank you for the up date.
i believe I am the first to search the Luxembourg Area for the Irmen's. Yes! the family is from Germany originally but I have not been able to find where Theodore Irmen come from. he is the end of the line for me so far.
I started with my Great Grandfather Frank Irmen, whose funeral I attend when I was a child. he died in 1936, and one of the three funerals I atended when very young. I am curently 85, in the US Aarmy for twenty years, two wars, in combat in both. Search the internet for "1st GHQ Raiders" during the Korean war and that was my second war. My wife's Great Uncle, was the Adm., that planned the attack on Pearl Harbor. Adm Yamamoto was her Great Uncle.
I will bring you up to date of my research if you are interested. I now have you listed in my computer and will help you as much as I can.
