I am not sure how many William Iretons there were in the civil war. My ggrandfather Was William G. Ireton who was born in Richboro, Pa on Aug.15,1837 and he married Georgina White in Bordentown, NJ on March 1,1866. His father was Daniel Ireton (Born in NJ date unknown) and his mother was Claressa Evans (Born in Bucks Co. Pa date unknown). If you have Judith S. Ireton's book published in 1972, the tree that follows William G. is on page 111. By the way, William served with Co. B 23 Rgt. NJ Inf. from Aug. 25,1862 to June 27, 1863. I have been searching for more information on William's father Daniel who was probably born between 1800 and 1815 but I have not had much luck so far. The is a Historical Society library in Burlington however I could not find any records there. I am offering this detail since you may find it helpful in sorting all of the Williams. Happy hunting, Richard
