My gggg-grandfather's sister emigrated to Manchester, Lancashire in the mid-1850s and her neice came in the 1870s.Northern England had many factory jobs available due to the influence of the Industrial Revolution.Liverpool and Manchester (both cities of the county of Lancashire at that time) are well-known for their Irish populations, then and now.Just a little bit of info!Hope it helps.
