just wanted to add my thanks to Declan. I have recently learned that my gg grandparents Bartholomew O'Connor/Connors (he used both surnames in his life) and Margaret Doyle immigrated to Ontario, Canada from co. Wexford in 1847 with 2 sons Patrick b 1844 and Denis b 1846. I am direct descendent of the first son born in Canada Bartholomew, Jr He and his siblings were strictly using O'Connor by the time they married or owned land.
I am know beginning to attempt to see where in Wexford they were from. I do not know the names of their parents or siblings. I only have the dates of their 2 sons born there and the date they all immigrated. I also know they were Roman Catholic and that Bartholomew's approx b. is 1808 and Margaret's was about 1819.
