A Benjamin Connor was born in Wexford in 1827, and his descendants are currently alive and well here in Ireland, some in Kilkenny and carlow. I am in touch with a Barry Connor in Kilkenny and also know of Connor family tre in existance that can be followed up. Do you have any more information, whether these Connor were Church of Ireland (protestant) or not. Two Connor brothers married Boyce girls in Enniscorthy, nieces of my great great grandmother. James Plunkett Connor was sub Sheriff for Co Wexford and lived at Lucas Park, Enniscorthy. maybe James Connor was a brother or cousin of the Benjamin I wrote of.
Hope that you can get more info.
Regards Ivan Yates
