That was a warm welcome in disguise!

I'm actually planning on moving to Ireland within the next two years. Currently we are in La Jolla, CA but are moving back to St. Louis the end of June. We will be enroute to Ireland either in SPring of 2009 or the Fall of 2009. We can't wait! It's been over three years of actual "Can we do this?" research but a lifetime of wanting. I visited often as a child, and my parents and six of my siblings are native Irish.

My sister, also an Eileen, is the family historian and is currently working on an online family tree that is quite extensive. She has enlisted the help of near and very distant relatives around the globe (Ireland, ENgland, Australia, Malta and Brazil) to assist. It should be online around June. I'll send you the link once it is up, if you would like. Perhaps there are some common ancestors after all, although the Doyle's all hail from one clan so it is inevitable, albeit way, way back.

We've also alot of relatives in England who went there in the first part of the last century for work and ended up staying. My parents lived in Coventry during world war 2 and saw Gone with the Wind in a theatre that had no roof due to the bombings! My Dad was a plumber so there was plenty of work thanks to the Nazi air strikes.

Once we move and if yo're ever in the neihgborhood (although we haven't chosen an exact location yet, that will come in 09) feel free to look me up!
