Richard GORE doesn't appear in the 1901 census. I don't have a copy of it - so if you have transcriptions of the village for 1901, I would love copies.
My Richard (born 1824). His father would have been dead by 1901, and he immigrated in 1841 (or 1840 - can't remember off top of head) to work as a shepherd for the AUSTRALIAN AGRICULTURAL COMPANY.
I don't think the John Gore in 1901 at Hillburn could be the same as married Hannah Shuddall (?). Didn't they marry about 1794?? Which makes him born abour 1770s.
I did refer to Duncormick as town - thanks for correction. I usually refer to all as town, without differentiating.
