1798 Rebellion

There seem to be a lot of Rebels escaping or ending up in Nova Scotia. I have been trying to find my William Johnson (born 1766 Wexford)who showed up in 1805 in Nova Scotia buying land with his son Laurence (born 1792 Wexford no mother)and a boy named Andrew Scallion (born 1790 Wexford) son of Joseph Scallion and Margaret Doyle of Wexford (no dates) who apparantley did not come with them. I found a note in the battle of Vinegar Hill that there was a William Johnson rebel who was sent to Australia I believe by a William Johnson (British Military) but then escaped. Johnsons and others went to Ontario at that time as well. There names are not on the immigration passenger lists and I am wondering if they all planned on escaping the wrath of the British by coming to Canada in secret? If any one knows where there might be an actual list of rebels names?
