Help--Looking for a James Furlong
Posted by: Christine Date: January 08, 2002 at 11:54:31

Hello, My GGG Grandfather was a James Furlong born in Ireland, Wexford, possibly Enniscorthy area. He moved to Newfoundland in 1825. He was married over in Newfoundland to a Maria Honeyburn in 1826. I am going to say he must have been in 20s when he got married, so that would mean he must have been born about 1800. When he moved to Newfoundland he changed his last name from Furlong to Long.

Any help anyone could give me in tracing him into Ireland, parents, etc would be a big help. Thanks for your help and time.

Christine
