Hazlett/Kane family Donemanna, Tyrone
Posted by: Kim Mills (ID *****4279) Date: August 25, 2011 at 15:28:12
  of 1710

I'm looking for info on the family of Andrew Hazlett and Martha Kane. Would love to hear from anyone researching the same family, or who might have info.

Andrew Hazlett was born abt 1810 in Ireland, he married Martha Kane I don't know when.
Andrew died 17 Jul 1884 in Massachusetts, USA. His death record index gives his fathers name as Jacob. No other parent/sibling info.

Martha Kane was born abt 1832 in Ireland, some records give 1823. She died 18 Feb 1903 in Cabrindge, MA, USA. Her death record gives her parents as Daniel and Margaret Kane. Have not found any info on her parents or if any siblings.

Andrew & Martha came to the USA in 1875 along with most of their children.
It looks like the older children came a few years before as I've found Rebecca, Margaret Ann and possibly a John here before them.

The children I have recorded are:
Rebecca born abt 1850, died 17 Mar 1898 MA, USA, married John Doherty.
Margaret Ann born abt 1851 (My GGG Grandmother), died 6 Mar 1905, Cambridge, MA, USA. Married William Young in 1873, widowed, then Johann Fridolin Schuler abut 1874/5.
John born abt 1855 (possible, death record listed parents Andrew & Martha Hazlett but not mothers maiden name)
Andrew born abt 1862, married Emma Olilson 1890.
Isabella born 26 Mar 1864 Donemanna, Tyrone
Joseph born 2 Mar 1966 Donemanna, Tyrone
Mary born abt 1869, married Arthur Saltmarsh & George Smicer.
Martha born 2 Jul 1874 Donemanna, Tyrone

The births with exact date/places were found on Family Search. But they don't seem to have them all.

Thanks,
Kim
