Thanks for trying, Tammy. I think he was buried in one of the Churchyards no longer in use and possibly the marker was wood. He is listed in the Irish death index, but that doesn't give place of burial. I need to know which parish church, because I'm trying to find the names and birthdates of his children. Most were born before 1864 so they aren't on the index. All (but one) immigrated to the USA and I need names and dates to start tracking them. I wrote to all the RC churches in the area asking about baptisms and all said their computerized records didn't go back that far and they didn't know where the old originals were. I wrote to the cathedral Church in Derry but never received a reply. I was hoping someone locally would be able to put me on the right track. Thanks again.
