Hi Colleen: Killyfaddy is a townland name. It appears in 3 Irish counties: Tyrone, Londonderry, and Armagh. I research the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840, rare B4 1800. Note 1 - Without a KNOWN county, the chance of an ancestor's rcds NOT being in this database is AT LEAST 35%. Note 2 - Only 1/2 of Co. Cork's rcds are in this database. Note 3 - The RC church kept control over most parish rcds from Tipperary (north). These are ONLY available thru the Tipperary Family History Research center at a substantial fee (regardless of outcome). For Isabella Dunbar M 1900 +/- 4 yrs in Co. Armagh, Tyrone, and Londonderry, I found 1 rcd in 1900, Co. Tyrone, Dungannon registration district. For Robert James Blackburn M ditto, I found ditto. These are likely for your ancestors - no guarantee. A view of the detailed rcds should show they married each other AND may show their parents' names. If so, this will let you push back your lineage at least one more generation. For Robert James Martin Blackburn B 1905 (exact) in Co. Tyrone with a father named Robert, I found 1 rcd. For Eliza Blackburn B 1908 (exact) ditto, I found ditto. For William Blackburn B 1913 ditto, I found ditto. For Cat(herine) Dunbar B 1879 +/- 4 yrs Co. Tyrone with the father forenamed Robert, I found 0 rcds. For Robert Dunbar B ???? ditto, I found 1 rcd in 1878, Clonavaddy district. The father's forename was Robert. Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg. Hope this helps. Good luck.
