The first Fairleys to come to the Miramichi (Boiestown) were William and James. They drew land grants in 1819. John Fairley and ___ McInight arrived 1834 ir 1835, Information on early records for William and James stated that they were linen merchants. I have no further info on John other than his first name which was given to me orally. John's sons were John, David and Joseph. I descend through Joseph and his son Josiah. They settled in Avery's Portage (now Astle New Brunswick Canada).
Seek any info on Fairleys who, I believe, originally came from outside Ayreshire, Scotland.
