My Gavin in Clonmel Tipperary rellies were John Gavin b1785, d1842, m1811 to Catherine Hogan. They were "known to" Captain Powers, Colonel Green and McDonald Esquire according to Irish convict records. John was convicted of cow stealing and sentenced to life and was transported to Sydney Australia in 1820 on board ship Lord Sidmouth, Captain Muddle.
