I searched the IFHF's online database at ROOTSIRELAND.IE. It has abt 19 million B/M/D records for MOST Irish counties.

For John Tobin B 1896 +/- 1 yr, somewhere in Ireland, with parents' forenamed Edward and Margaret, I found 1 record in Co. Cork. This may or may not be for this ancestor.

Suggest you visit the IFHF's database, register (free), and continue the search there.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
